Didjin’Oz 2014 Forlimpopoli travel diary

Also this year we stayed at the Didjin’Oz, International Festival of the didgeridoo, Forlimpopoli. An opportunity for an RV trip with didgeridoo and family, and it was the first trip for my daughter Violet (5 months old), which is also Dad’s little helper.

Forlimpopoli is as beautiful as we remembered, friendly and generous.
The music is in the air until late at night, in the green areas young people and families sitting on the grass.
My daughter liked the artists who performed on the stage of Didjin’Oz, she has danced all the time.

Sunday morning I took part in workshop with Dubravko Lapaine, a man of great charisma, which has given me so much.

I want to share with you a little anecdote for you to understand how  small and crazy is Forlimpopoli.

While I was with Dubravko Lapaine, the rest of the family walked around the town trying all vegan cupcakes. Intrigued by the words “Artusi,” asked a gentleman what it was. The gentleman, very gently, leaned on his cane and told the long history of ‘Artusi, a story that started from 1800, full of twists and turns, taking all the presents with bated breath. At the end of the story, my wife, enthusiastic, thanked the man, asking him how he knew all these things. <I gave my blood for this city. > Says the Lord, and, at the silent question, he adds <you saw the great statue of Artusi entering Forlimpopoli? I made it myself>. In short, they accidentally stopped the sculptor Mario Bertozzi.
